Firstfruits: Consecration for Supernatural Favors

As we stand at the threshold of 2026, we declare that this year will not be a year of missteps, but of divine alignment. Just as an airplane takes off with precision, so must our lives be lifted by the Spirit, guided by the principles of God. Kaniadto daghan ta’g sipyat, apan karon nga naa ta sa ministry ug gitudluan sa insakto, makatestimonya ta sa pamuhat sa Ginoo. This year, dili pwede nga masipyat—our consecration must be complete.

The world has many traditions claiming to bring blessings, yet they fail because they are not rooted in God’s Word. Money itself is not evil; it is a symbol of blessing. But when wrongly ordered, it becomes an idol. Jesus declared in Mark 12:17, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” The principle is clear: pay your dues, but never rob God of what belongs to Him.

Ug miingon si Jesus, “Kon mao kana, ihatag ninyo ngadto sa Emperador ang iya sa Emperador ug ngadto sa Dios ang iya sa Dios.” Ug nahibulong kaayo sila kaniya. Marcos 12:17

Proverbs 3:9–10 teaches us to honor the Lord with the firstfruits, promising barns filled with plenty and vats overflowing with new wine.

Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. Proverbs 3:9-10

Firstfruits does not mean literal fruits of the farm or field. It may mean your first salary, first income or first profit. Why doubt the Creator of heaven and earth when He asks for the first portion? The same God who established the heavens by wisdom (Proverbs 3:19) is the One who calls us to consecrate our firstfruits.

The firstfruit is not a donation—it is a covenant statement. Exodus 23:19 commands us to bring the best of the first harvest to the house of the Lord.

Dad-a ninyo sa balay sa Ginoo nga inyong Dios ang labing maayo sa unang ani gikan sa inyong kaumahan. Exodo 23:19 RCPV

What we place first reveals who we acknowledge as owner. The firstfruit has an address: the altar of God. The firstfruit covenant is God’s system to ensure His Word continues, His ministry prospers, and His people remain protected. Kung gutmon sa tao ang balay sa Diyos, ang iyang kaugalingong proteksyon iyang ginaputol.

So what is the firstfruit?

1. Firstfruit is Covenant Protection

When we consecrate the first portion, we cover our homes and finances for the entire year. Nehemiah 10:35 shows the people pledging to bring the firstfruits annually to the temple.

We also assume responsibility for bringing to the house of the Lord each year the firstfruits of our crops and of every fruit tree. Nehemiah 10:35

Revival is not emotion alone—it is obedience. If you want your household protected in 2026, pasidunggi una ang altar sa Ginoo!

2. Firstfruit Sanctifies the Entire Year

Romans 11:16 declares: “If the first piece of dough is holy, the whole lump is holy.” When the first salary, first business profit, or first income is consecrated, the entire year’s finances are sanctified. If the beginning is wrong, the direction will be wrong. But if the root is holy, the branches will flourish.

3. Firstfruit is Covenant Trust

The firstfruit removes fear and lack. Matthew 6:19–21 reminds us not to store treasures on earth but in heaven, where moth and rust cannot destroy. In Acts 4:34–35, believers sold property and laid the proceeds at the apostles’ feet—not because they were forced, but because they understood the Lordship of Christ. Contrast this with Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5, who withheld the first portion out of fear. Their downfall was not the amount, but in their lying resulting from a lack of trust.

Beloved, the firstfruit covenant is God’s system to protect His people. It is revival, restoration, and obedience in action. It is financial consecration that declares: “Lord, You are first in my life.”

As we enter 2026, let us boldly proclaim: “IYA SA GINOO ANG UNA!” When we honor Him with our firstfruits, we step into supernatural favor, covenant protection, and divine provision. This is not tradition—it is consecration. This is not emotion—it is obedience. And obedience unlocks miracles.

Therefore, let this year be marked by covenant faithfulness. Bring your firstfruits to the altar, sanctify your income, and trust the Lord of heaven and earth. For when the first is holy, the whole is holy. And when the altar is honored, the people are covered.
