The Prosperity Flow

Have you ever wondered if God would like his people to be not prosperous? That seems to be the concensus among a lot of people. Some say serving God should come from a place of lack. However, reading the bible would prove a very different perspective. Because of Jesus, ours is the prosperity He won at the cross!

We do not preach a prosperity gospel. We preach the gospel that brings prosperity. Paul decrees grace and peace in abundance here in 2 Peter 1:1-4:

“Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours.

Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.

Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”  (2 Peter 1:1–4)

In these verses, it is very clear: ours is a prosperity not reliant on riches. Ours is abundance achieved through faith and obedience. Our portion are the Lord Jesus Christ's "very great and precious promises." Ours is the portion of the flow of the anointing of prosperity- flowing not from human wisdom but from the knowledge of God.

When we speak of a gospel that brings prosperity, prosperity is not the end goal. It is just a by-product of following the Lord faithfully and obeying His principles. To obey his principles, we should build our strong foundations upon the solid rock. That is why January was declared the month of solid foundation. We cannot build on shifting sand; we must build on Christ, the Rock. And now, as we enter February—the month of gateway—we are called to step through the threshold with our firstfruits.

“Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.”  (Proverbs 3:9–10)

This is not about leftovers—it is about priority. To honor the Lord means to give Him the first and best, acknowledging Him as the source of all blessings. What we place in God’s hands first, He multiplies with grace: protection, provision, wisdom, open doors, healing, and breakthrough.

This gateway is not merely about material giving; it is about consecration.

“And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”  (Deuteronomy 8:18)

Wealth is not for pride or self‑glory, but to establish His covenant. True prosperity is covenantal—it flows from obedience, remembrance, and humility before the Lord.

Jesus Himself declared the principle of priority:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”  (Matthew 6:33)

When we put His kingdom first, provision follows.

“The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.”  (Deuteronomy 28:12)

Prosperity is not passive; it requires labor, but labor empowered by divine favor.

And yet, God’s promises go beyond what we can imagine:

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”  (Ephesians 3:20)

This is the reassurance we carry into the gateway month: that our limitations are not His limitations, and our small offerings are multiplied by His Spirit.

But there is a condition for ascending into His presence:

“Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully.”  (Psalm 24:3–4)

Holiness is not optional—it is the key to entering the gateway of blessing. To walk in covenant prosperity, we must walk in integrity, refusing falsehood and deceit, consecrating ourselves to the Lord.

As we step from the month of solid foundation into the month of gateway, let us remember: deception is defeated by truth, abundance flows from obedience, and holiness is the key to divine participation. Seek first the kingdom, honor God with your firstfruits, and walk with clean hands and pure hearts.

Truly, ours is an anointing of prosperity flowing from a godly understanding of who the Lord is and what He wants for our lives.

As we surrender our lives in obedience to God, we will see an abundance we have never seen before. Take it and receive it in the mighty name of JESUS!
