Breakthrough Comes From the Lord

Many believers long for financial breakthrough, yet few truly understand how God releases His provision. Some believe that financial blessings simply fall from heaven, while others think prosperity depends solely on hard work. Both perspectives contain elements of truth, but neither presents the complete biblical picture.

“Ug tungod kay kamo anaa kang Cristo Jesus, ang akong Dios maghatag kaninyo sa tanan ninyong gikinahanglan gikan sa kadagaya sa iyang bahandi.”— Mga Taga-Filipos 4:19 (APD)

To understand this, we need to understand that man is a spiritual being. As a church, we believe in the trichotomy of man. Meaning, we believe that man is divided to body, soul, and spirit. Here in JAOM, practical application locates spirit as the mind and the soul as the emotions.

It is our actions in the mind and in the spirit that one might unknowingly close the doors of God's breakthrough. This includes faithlessness.

Christians have always called people who have supported God's works as kingdom financers. However, God will always be the financer of His kingdom.

He is actually looking for CHANNELS of his blessings!

God is the Source of every blessing. People become the channels through which His blessings flow. The blessing originates in heaven, but the channel operates here on earth.

This principle is evident throughout Scripture. When Israel wandered in the wilderness, God sustained them through the miracle of manna. However, when they entered the Promised Land, the manna ceased. God was introducing them to a higher system—not merely surviving through miracles, but living according to Kingdom principles where obedience, stewardship, diligence, and faith released His provision.

A financial channel is any God-ordained means through which His provision flows from the Source to His people for His Kingdom purposes. God owns everything. He simply chooses different channels through which His resources move.

OBEDIENCE OPENS FINANCIAL CHANNELS

Malachi 3:10 records God's invitation:

"Bring all the tithes..."

Then comes the promise:

"I will open the windows of heaven."

The windows of heaven represent God's financial doors. The blessing already exists. Obedience simply opens the doors. Many believers pray for open heavens while living in closed obedience. Yet throughout Scripture, God's promises remain connected to covenant faithfulness.

Obedience positions us beneath the flow of God's blessing.

The beautiful truth is that while the blessing flows through the channel, the channel itself is also blessed. God prospers those whom He can trust. The one through whom the blessing passes is not left empty. Instead, God continually replenishes the channel because He knows it will continue to release His resources according to His purposes.

Barnabas proved this principle. Because he released what God had entrusted to him, his life became a lasting testimony of faithful partnership in God's Kingdom.

When we recognize God as our Source, obey His Word, work diligently, give generously, steward faithfully, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, His provision flows through us to accomplish His Kingdom purposes.

The question is not whether God possesses enough resources. The question is whether He can trust us to become His Kingdom Financial Channels.

May each of us honestly ask ourselves:

• Am I recognizing God as my Source?

• Am I becoming a Kingdom Financial Channel or merely a consumer?

• Have disobedience or fear closed financial channels in my life?

• Am I a reservoir that only receives, or a river through which God's blessings continually flow?

• If God increased my finances today, would His Kingdom also increase through me?

May God not only bless us with provision but also raise us as faithful Kingdom Financial Channels through whom revival, generosity, and His covenant purposes will reach the nations.
