Promoted by God, Positioned for His Glory

Serving as a pastor is no easy work. Leading 5 people is already hard work. What more hundreds! That's why we are continually helping pastors and fellowship with those fellow pastors who enjoy our company. This week, we joined a city-wide worship festival where we led two sets of worship. It was a place where we received prophecies that our ministry will impart and serve to multitudes and to the nations of the world.

Two years ago, we were the brunt of criticisms. This week, we received positive affirmations from fellow servants of God. Truly, as the Prophet has declared, we have taken over.

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all. 1 Chronicles 29:11-12 NKJV
Gamhanan ikaw, talahuron, dungganon, halangdon, ug dalaygon. 1 Cronica 29:11-12 RCPV

The God that we serve is a powerful God. You don't have to manipulate your way to the top when God has the power to lift you up! Human promotion can give you a position, but only God can establish your purpose and true glorification. Human recognition can make you popular, but only God's presence can make your life carry His glory. True promotion is not merely going higher; it is becoming a greater vessel for God's glory!

Husto ang giingon sa Dios, kay ang pasidungog wala magagikan bisan asa, kondili sa Dios lamang. Siya ang nagahukom; ipaubos niya ang uban ug ang uban pasidunggan. Salmo 75:6-7

RECOGNIZE THE SOURCE OF YOUR PROMOTION

True Promotion does not ultimately come from people, connections, wealth, or human systems. It comes from God! People may recommend you, but God establishes you. People may open doors, but God determines your season. People may recognize your abilities, but God releases your assignment. Look at Joseph! He went from the prison to the palace, from rejection to recognition, and from suffering to leadership.

DEVELOP THE CHARACTER THAT CAN CARRY YOUR PROMOTION.

Humility protects your promotion. Faithfulness sustains your assignment. Obedience preserves your alignment. Excellence demonstrates your stewardship. Remember Joseph: He remained faithful in Potiphar's house, in prison, and in the palace. REMEMBER JOSHUA - He became the leader of Israelites in crossing over and taking over the promise land. WHat did Joshua possess?

  1. THE SPIRIT OF THE WORD OF GOD

  2. THE SPIRIT OF COURAGE

REFUSE TO BE INTIMIDATED “Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NKJV)

Joshua faced fortified cities, powerful enemies, and enormous responsibilities. Yet God commanded him to remain courageous. Courage enables us to face challenges. A courageous disciple refuses to let intimidation cancel God's calling. I will not allow fear, opposition, criticism, or the size of the challenge to stop you from fulfilling God's calling.

  3. THE SPIRIT OF FAITH

BELIEVE GOD'S PROMISE Joshua 1:3 (NKJV) “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you…”

Joshua had to believe God's promise before experiencing its full possession. Faith sees God's promise as greater than the obstacles ahead. Faith trusts God's Word even when circumstances look impossible. Faith moves us from merely hearing God's promises to acting upon His instructions.

EXPECT GOD'S DIVINE ELEVATION IN HIS APPOINTED TIME

"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time." 1 Peter 5:6

There is an appointed time for divine elevation! Joseph had his appointed time. David had his appointed time. Esther had her appointed time. Your waiting season is not necessarily a wasted season. God can use it to prepare you for greater responsibility. Do not force doors. Do not compromise your convictions. Do not abandon your assignment. REVIVAL TRUTH: What God has appointed, you do not need to obtain through compromise!

DON'T JUST SEEK PROMOTION—SEEK THE GOD OF PROMOTION!
