The Resurrection Power

Two thousand years ago, on a Sunday morning, salvation broke into history—and the world has never been the same again. What seemed like the end was only the beginning. What looked like defeat was about to be revealed as the greatest victory of all time.

Before the sunrise, Mary Magdalene and the other women made their way to the tomb. Their hearts were heavy, their steps slow with grief. Just days before, on that dark Friday afternoon, they had watched Jesus Christ suffer and die on the cross. The One they believed to be the Messiah—their hope, their teacher, their Savior—was gone. To them, it was over.

They came not with expectation, but with mourning. Not with faith for a miracle, but with spices for a burial. They came prepared to tend to a dead body… not knowing they were about to encounter the living God.

Little did they know—the grave had already been shaken. Heaven had already moved. The stone had already been rolled away. While the world slept in silence, eternity had shifted. Death had been defeated. The impossible had happened.

And when they arrived, the tomb was empty.

That moment wasn’t just a surprise—it was a declaration. A proclamation that sin had lost its power, that death no longer had the final say, that darkness could never overcome the light. The resurrection of Christ was not just an event—it was an awakening. A divine interruption that changed the course of humanity forever.

And that same power—the power that raised Jesus from the grave—is still alive today.

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The God we are serving is a powerful and sovereign God—One who has conquered even the greatest enemy humanity has ever known: death itself. Through His resurrection, He demonstrated that no power, no darkness, and no circumstance can prevail over Him. Because our God is risen, we are no longer living in defeat or bound by fear. His victory becomes our victory.

This means that in every struggle we face and every trial that seems overwhelming, we can hold on to the truth that the Lord is able to rise victorious in every situation in our lives. His power is not distant or abstract—it is present, active, and at work within us, lifting us from despair to hope, from weakness to strength, and from defeat to triumph. The Holy Spirit is actively working with the same resurrection power in our lives today!

He is able to resurrect dead relationships. Even relationships that seem lifeless—cold, distant, or broken—are not beyond His power. A marriage that has lost its warmth can be renewed in Christ, because He is a God who restores, not just to what was, but to something deeper and stronger. The love between husband and wife can be rekindled, softened by grace, rebuilt through forgiveness, and anchored in Him. The Holy Spirit will help us all in this.

Parents who feel estranged from their child can rediscover a love that mirrors that very first moment they held them—pure, hopeful, and full of promise. No matter who that child has become or what has happened in between, God’s restoring power is greater than pain, disappointment, or distance. What feels “dead” to us is never truly beyond revival in His hands. Jesus died for these at Calvary.

And not only in relationships—our resurrecting God is able to bring life even into areas of lack and struggle, including our finances. What feels depleted, stagnant, or hopeless can be revived by His provision. God is not limited by what we see in our bank accounts or what we lack in resources. He is our provider, and He is able to open doors, create opportunities, and sustain us in ways we could never imagine on our own. When we place our trust in Him and walk in obedience, we invite His blessing into every aspect of our lives. Our portion of blessing is already paid for at the cross!

As it is written in Exodus 23:25: “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.” This is the promise of a faithful God—when we serve Him, He provides, He restores, and He heals. Nothing is too far gone. No situation is too broken.

Our God is still in the business of resurrection! Every dead place, every hopeless situation in your life—hear the Word of the Lord: come to life now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! He has already defeated you 2000 years ago through His resurrection.

Let resurrection power flow! Let what was buried rise again! By the same Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead, what the enemy declared finished, God is calling forth into new life. It is not yet over! Jesus paid it all!
